Do you like washed-up girl band drama? Or maybe want to escape to a hidden 1950s jazz club? Perhaps dive deeper into human connections and emotions? Or is the light-heartedness of improv and comedy more your speed? Regardless of your taste - these innovative works of theatre and more can be enjoyed by all at Outburst Festival 2023. From psychological horrors to kids shows, we’ve got you covered! Outburst is a festival with no limits - our aim is to give young creatives the artistic freedom to develop the work they want to make, independent of curriculum and from their hearts.

Placing faith in these young people means we uplift their creativity, recognise it as valuable, and allow them to flourish into creative professionals. By giving these artists complete control of their work, we can see what new talent is emerging out of the beautifully bold city of Liverpool. Alongside our number of fantastic shows, we are running exhibitions of art and film, a social hub where you can discover all that’s happening here at Outburst (with refreshing food and drink provided) and several social events to bring us all together, including a Taylor Swift Night and drag queen karaoke (so get your vocal cords and high heels at the ready!) The creative arts, like all of us, suffered greatly during the pandemic and as we re-emerge to some normality, it’s vital to remind ourselves of the culture and creativity that is right on your doorstep!
